I don't have a card-reader, how can I make a payment?

If you want to set up or amend a payee on your Digital Banking service you will need a card-reader. However you don't need your card-reader to arrange a payment to someone that you have paid previously using Digital Banking.

To make future online payments we would suggest you order a card-reader.

Order a card-reader

  1. Log on to Digital Banking at www.rbsidigital.com
  2. Select 'Security' from the menu.
  3. In the 'Using a card-reader' section select 'Order a card-reader'.
  4. Select a reason from the drop down menu.
  5. Select 'Confirm'.

In the meantime here are some alternative payment options you might consider:

Telephone banking

If your Telephone Banking and Digital Banking service is fully activated you can set-up and make a payment by phone.

Our Telephone Banking service is available Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm, Saturday 8am to 1pm. Calls may be recorded.

Branch

You can make a payment at your local branch. Remember to take your debit card and proof of ID with you.
